The School
Auckland Guitar School is a dedicated guitar school with an outstanding reputation, specialising in modern guitar styles.
We are passionate about teaching and training our students to achieve their goals, become great players and have fun in the process. We focus on providing opportunities to perform and play with others and developing musicians whilst building a community of guitar players.

FAQs
“I’ve never taught guitar before – can I still apply?”
In some cases this could actually be a benefit – because of this, we’re more than happy to receive applications from passionate musicians who are keen to help share their skills with other guitarists.
“I can teach already, why do I need training?”
You may need less training, but all teachers who work at the School will need to undertake training in our methods and curriculum, to ensure consistency and the highest standards.

If you’re looking to teach guitar to a high standard and the following statements describe you, we’d love to hear from you!
- You play guitar to a high level, across a wide range of modern styles
- You can read music notation, and have a good understanding of music theory
- You relate well to people from all walks of life, and of all ages (from 7 year olds through to retirees)
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- You have a strong work ethic, lots of self-motivation and a positive attitude
- You are able to work evenings and on Saturdays

2) ONE video link of you performing on guitar. (If you do not have any videos, a simple video on your phone is fine).
